چکیده
Results Among 206 students interviewed, 166 (80.6%) were females and 40 (19.4%) were males. Among the study subjects, 123(59.7%) drive motorcycles but only 83 (40.3%) have a license. Majority 121 (58.7%) had witnessed an accident. 201 (97.6%) out of 206 students knew that wearing helmet is safe, but only 89 (43.2%) wear helmets. Only 30.2% of the study group wears a seatbelt. Most of them, 73 (35.4%), have knowledge of traffic symbols.

ON THE STABILITY AND THRESHOLD ANALYSIS OF AN EPIDEMIC MODEL
We consider a mathematical model of epidemic spread in which the population is partitioned into five compartments of susceptible S(t), Infected I(t), Removed R(t), Prevented U(t) and the Controlled W(t). We assume each of the compartments comprises of cohorts of individuals which are identical with respect to the disease status. We derive five systems of equations to represent each of the ...
متن کاملSimulating the Effect of Speed Humps on the U-Turn Traffic
Traffic simulation represents an effective tool for evaluating the suggested alternatives to enhance traffic conditions prior to their application in real sites. U-turn sections represent examples of the complicated sections that cannot be analyzed properly without applying microsimulation approach. Recently, in Iraq, speed humps were applied in prior to the merging locations and U-turn sectio...
متن کاملChallenges of Iranian Environmental Health during the COVID-19 Epidemic: Lessons for the Future
Emerging and communicable infectious diseases are one of the major public health challenges that adherence to the principles of primary health care can prevent the rising of morbidity and mortality in communities. This study investigates the environmental health challenges of Iran in Covid-19 epidemic as an emerging infectious disease. Insufficient readiness of the health system, delays in qua...
متن کاملAn Optimization Model for Epidemic Mitigation and Some Theoretical and Applied Generalizations
In this paper, we present a binary-linear optimization model to prevent the spread of an infectious disease in a community. The model is based on the remotion of some connections in a contact network in order to separate infected nodes from the others. By using this model we nd an exact optimal solution and determine not only the minimum number of deleted links but also their exact positions. T...
متن کاملDynamics of a Delayed Epidemic Model with Beddington-DeAngelis Incidence Rate and a Constant Infectious Period
In this paper, an SIR epidemic model with an infectious period and a non-linear Beddington-DeAngelis type incidence rate function is considered. The dynamics of this model depend on the reproduction number R0. Accurately, if R0 < 1, we show the global asymptotic stability of the disease-free equilibrium by analyzing the corresponding characteristic equation and using compa...
